QUESTION: How do I find out what used computers are worth?

ANSWER: Someone with more computer experience should test-drive the machine for you. A used computer can prove a very nice startup machine for someone, but you may outgrow it sooner than you think. There is a reason it’s being sold, and my guess is that the computer is slow. Is it worth the hassles of uncertainty when you can buy a new computer for close to $500?
