D03: Length of time for Internet Explorer to start

QUESTION: Why does it take so long for the Internet to open when I double-click on Internet Explorer?

ANSWER: I wonder whether it has always taken a long time or if this is a new issue. The answer may determine the cause. Without that answer I would say, If you use a dial-up, connecting to the Internet can take a very long time. Alternatively, the Home Page you have chosen may always take a long time to open. Maybe you should change your Home Page. If none of that works, I would get someone in to look at your computer to see if it needs some fine-tuning.
