QUESTION: Where can I find information about children safely using the Internet?

ANSWER: There is a lot of very justified concern about how to keep children safe when they access the Internet. If you’re going to invite your children or grandchildren to use your computer, please sit them down and explain the dangers of meeting someone over the Internet. They should never give anyone their full name, home address, or phone number. Call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (1-800-843-5678) to receive the brochure “Child Safety on the Information Highway.”
